We fabricate our firewalls from 16 gauge steel. They really help to clean up that engine compartment and work great behind big block, small block, and LS engines. This particular firewall was designed specifically for the 55-56 Chevy car. We also offer firewalls for the 57 Chevys.
We also fabricate our enlarge tunnels from 16 gauge steel. They come fully formed and ready to install. They are designed to use with our Recessed Firewalls RFW-56 Or RFW-57. Enlarged nearly 2" to allow easy installation of GM 6L80, 6L90 and Tremec T-56 Transmissions. Requires cutting, welding and fabrication skills to install
RainGear systems fit entirely under the dash, you can remove the old firewall mounted motor entirely. This will free up engine compartment room for that big block motor or give more clearance and works great with our smoothie firewalls. It also gets rid of those troublesome factory cables. The Raingear system has a modern OEM like design and quality.
